在網上找到的大理石相，石材公司的圖片，也是用最漂亮的「頭板」做廣告的，銷售員會用最漂亮的「頭板」做推銷，所以就有很漂亮的第一印象。就像麥當勞等快餐廳的廣告，廣告上的漢堡包永遠是最漂亮的。但大理石是天然的，顏色紋路是有變化的，沒有兩塊大板是完全相同的。

Etching 特徵是表面粗糙，暗啞色破壞光面光澤，多數是圓形的水印。成因我們由大理石特質開始，大理石主要成分以碳酸鈣Calcium carbonate為主，約占50%以上。碳酸鈣是鹼性的，遇上酸性的液體就會產生化學作用，破壞本身結構，腐蝕石材光滑表面，造成暗啞。

光面做不到防滑？浴室地面濕水會好滑，石材浴缸企缸做光面點做防滑？大多數大理石防滑處理，都會影響表面光澤效果。光面石就可以用激光微吼處理。
