The Alabama White!

Alabama White mines from Sylacauga, Alabama "The Marble City" in USA. Its white background color is alike Bianco Carrara, not so off-white like Statuario White. With silver veining similar to Eastern White from China, but without greenish and yellowish vein.

And! it is very hard! Alabama White is even suitable for external cladding wall. You can also slice it into thin sheet as lamp cover. Perfect material for countertop!

It has a long history. The first guy mined it was 200 years ago! Many significant sculpture and building in USA using it: U.S. Supreme Court, the translucent ceiling of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C, a bust of Abraham Lincoln.

The quarry stopped large production for export building material for long while. Recently it resumes export and you now can have piece of marble countertop from other side of pacific ocean.
