From the tile, you may think that this article would be very academic. Yes, indeed, you are right. Dark Emperador 進口深啡網 is a very very common material used in Hong Kong. Distinguishing Dark Emperador from Good to Bad makes us interested.

Dark Emperador is a Spanish marble. Among all Spanish marble company, we spot this company having a very good definition of grading on Dark Emperador. (as cited in Dark-Emperador 2016)

Dark Emperador First

Its surface is very uniform, with very dark brown colour and basically no signs of white coloured veins. It is a very exclusive material with less than 5% of production extracting from quarry.

Dark Emperador First

Dark Emperador standard

The main characteristics of this grade are the fairly uniform background with a couple of brown coloured tones, as well as the presence of a certain amount of white coloured vein and calcite.

Dark Emperador Commercial

It is characterised by its less uniform background and colour, as well as a larger amount of white vein and calcite. Many cinoabues seek thus grade as Dark Emperador Standard

Dark Emperador Classic

It is the worst Dark Emperador. We don't want to talk about it. From the source, it is mostly exported to North Africa markets. But perhaps do you spot some in Hong Kong project?
